A much better way of turning your back on Wolves!!
23 July 2026

The Wolves Ive kept have been my life
In some respects they’ve been my wife.
I’ve cared for them they’ve cared for me
So many times Ive wished them free.
No people crowds no queues of cars,
Just fleeting clouds and clear view stars.
So what occurred that changed the pace
It was for sure the human race
Without a thought we bred and bred
Our numbers rose we got ahead
We took it all and made our own
With scant regard it was their home
They came to us their cap in hand
We need a home you stole our land
Our reply just short and sweet.
You’ve lost your land admit defeat
Accept our terms do not rebel
Our zoos and parks your prison cell
It’s now your home and in our care
We’ll feed you well and see you there.
Your forest home has gone for good
Estates and ports are where it stood
So life goes on the human way
Ideas in place we’re here to stay
But those who know will count the cost
And time will tell, its us that lost
Its said we lie on the bed we make
So here we’ll see our big mistake
If Wolves have gone our hearts will ache
The wildlife left is all but fake
A lesson learned is not too late
Do not destroy what you can’t create.
Lets go back and change the pace
Put aside the human race
Take the choice we all can make
Give some back instead of take
A balanced view is always best
A better world in which to rest
Lets count the cost of pointless gain
This point of view reduces pain.
